Kindergarten Program: the "Butterflies"

The curriculum for our kindergarten groups is tailored to the developmental needs of five to six-year-olds. We refer to these children as the "butterflies" because they have emerged from the first stage of development and are ready to embark on a lifelong journey of learning.

The kindergarten curriculum introduces more advanced fields of study under the assumption that the prerequisite goals of the Preschool Program have been met. Subjects include basic math, introductory science, the arts, music, environmental issues and social studies. Children are encouraged to explore these topics with guidance and on their own.

At the core of our curriculum lies the assumption that all children are inherently inquisitive. Through appropriate stimulation and encouragement, Liberty Preschool Academy seeks to instill a love of learning in every child.

Daily Routine
A daily routine gives children comfort and stability. Knowing this, we are careful to provide a steady framework for their daily activities that nonetheless allows for spontaneous events and activities.
